João Silva:

Hi, I'm João. I have been playing games my whole life. In my 9th grade I started creating simple games using RPG maker.  I have also always enjoyed drawing and solving problems, and games provide a media where both areas can be explored simultaneosly.  This led me to study software engineering where I gained my passion for programming. I have worked in multiple large projects, professionally and for university, where I gained  experience in the object oriented programming paradigm with languages such as Java, Kotlin and C#. In my free time I have been learning Unity, with  which I have created multiple games, the most recent being Locus for the brackeys game jam.

Nuno Ramos:

Hi, I'm Nuno and I like games. I like any game that does things differently, but some of my favourites games are "Pyre", "Dishonored" and "Death Stranding". I've participated in my fair share of game jams and other small game-making projects, which is to say that I've had my hand into most parts of making games. That being said what I enjoy the most, and what I'm (reasonably) good at, is programming (both games and otherwise). My passion for programming intersected with my passion for games is what led me to study game design.

Francisco Sousa:

I love everything that games represent! Besides games, I've been into many different art forms throughout my life, having invested several years into theatre, dance and music, having received formal education for the latter. Since high school I've been very interested in game balance/theory, passion which only increased with time. After giving away years of my life in university doing something I disliked, my only takeaway was learning how useful and fun programming can be, which led me to join that new discovered passion with my studies, love for games and art, ending up switching to a masters in games. I don't feel like I have as many technical strong points as my peers, but i think my wide knowledge of many different subjects is valuable in order to craft unique experiences.

Rafael Vaz:

I'm very much into the visual arts. I adore cinema, animation and video games. Besides spending my time in the horrible institution known as Técnico, I studied realistic drawing for 3 years. By myself I have also studied animation and coninue to learn and draw a lot. My love for narratives that are told through a visual medium is immense and I try to immerse myself with it as much as I can. Besides that I also figured out that programing can be quite joyous, probably the only positive thing to come out of my time in uni, besides knowing some dope people. So games are a pretty good combo of many of the things I adore: programing, visual storytelling, animation.
