Dev Log - Week 10

Nuno Ramos:

This week work continued (and finished) on the next landmark. This challenge is different from the others in that it is more flow based than an actual platforming challenge. It requires the player to slide down a slope, having to reach the end before a countdown. This requires the player to either use metal to accelerate faster or rubber to slow down and gain better maneuverability. The challenge lies in the fact that there are obstacles that must be avoided, thus forcing the player to choose when he can trade speed for handling and the other way around.

João Silva:
This week I implemented some of the missing UI components,  namely a video player that shows tutorial videos. Besides the UI I searched for interesting assets that could be used to represent the missing landmarks. I searched a little bit to find what tools Unity offered to add instrumentation into our game.

Francisco Sousa:
This week I worked on two of the three remaining landmarks, built and tested them. Our artist got us some interesting art for our UI, so I imported those assets into the game, and it's looking great!
Besides that, I also worked on the playtesting document.
We also discussed some final details about the game to smooth out some edges.

Rafael Vaz:
Playtesting was discussed and planned this week. we looked at a few ways of using different unity tools to help us with instrumentation. I have done little apart from that a lot of projects have to be delivered this week. I helped around with a few things, like giving some support to Francisco on his landmark.
